A few years ago, a friend and I started taking one of our little wooden music boxes with us whenever we visited somewhere special. A mountain trail, a quiet forest, a rushing waterfall, a hidden canyon, or a peaceful stream — the music box came along for the adventure.
What started as a simple photo quickly became a tradition.
Now, whenever we discover a beautiful place, we stop for a moment, set down the music box, and capture a picture. Each location becomes part of its story.
The Traveling Music Box reminds us that life's most meaningful moments aren't always the big milestones. Sometimes they're found beside a river, on a hiking trail, or while exploring somewhere new with the people we care about.
So this page is our travel journal.
We'll continue adding new destinations as the journey continues.
A little note before we begin...
We're not professional photographers, influencers, or travel bloggers. We're simply a family that loves to explore beautiful places and thought it would be fun to bring one of our little music boxes along for the adventure.
Some photos are carefully planned. Others are quick snapshots taken between hikes, while playing in the snow, or stopping for just a moment to enjoy the view. They may not be perfect, but every one of them captures a real memory.

❄️ Chapter 1 - Vermont
Every journey has a beginning, and this is where the story of the Traveling Music Box began.
Spring Break 2022 took us to the beautiful mountains of Vermont with friends. It was our daughter's very first time seeing snow, and somehow everything came together to create what felt like the perfect Hallmark movie.
Snow fell gently every single day, covering the mountains, forests, and trails in a fresh blanket of white. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful, making every morning feel magical.
We spent our days building snowmen, playing in the snow, walking through quiet forests, tubing down snowy hills, and laughing as we raced each other on sleds. Every moment became a memory we'll treasure forever.
This was the first stop on a journey that is still unfolding, and we're excited to see where the Traveling Music Box will travel next.

🌴 Chapter 2 – Puerto Rico
After experiencing our first snowy adventure in Vermont earlier that year, the Traveling Music Box traded snowflakes for sunshine and set off for Puerto Rico.
Christmas break brought us to an island filled with history, breathtaking coastlines, lush mountains, and places unlike anything we'd seen before. Every day offered something new to discover.
We wandered through the colorful streets of Old San Juan, stood beside the historic La Rogativa monument, admired the panoramic views from the Cruceta del Vigía in Ponce, and visited the famous Arecibo Observatory—a place that inspired scientists and dreamers from around the world for decades.
Of course, Puerto Rico's natural beauty was just as unforgettable. From rocky shorelines and quiet beaches to tropical forests and sweeping mountain views, the island constantly reminded us how many different kinds of adventures can be found in one place.
The little music box came along for every stop, quietly collecting another chapter of memories. Whether overlooking the Caribbean Sea, resting beside a historic landmark, or taking in an incredible view, it became part of the story.
Puerto Rico reminded us that every destination has its own rhythm. Some adventures are filled with snow. Others with sunshine. But the best memories are always the ones shared with the people we love.
And so, the Traveling Music Box continued its journey—one destination, one photograph, and one memory at a time.
